The Men’s 2nd XI, consolidating their position in MBBO Division 1

Mens’ 2nd XI

OMT Men’s 2nd XI

The Men’s 2nd XI are an extremely social team and have established themselves as a mainstay of the MBBO Division 1. A team full of great characters who enjoy their time on the hockey pitch, an outlook is always maintained in the clubhouse after the game.

Training – 19:30 – Tuesdays

Training runs alongside the 1st XI on Tuesday nights.

Nick Koo – Nick Koo gained a lot of experience from his time working with Joe Cowan and at Loughborough University as their Assistant Coach. He now works with David Cooper to coach exceptional technical hockey with just a little flare.

David Cooper – David comes with a wealth of experience having qualified as a Level 2 England hockey coach, he has previous experience bringing on young players in a social environment. Dave’s enthusiasm for coaching, partnered with his drive to score goals will be a massive asset to OMT and we hope that his presence will help to build on the foundations built in the last few years.

2nd Team Captain

Why I joined…

“I have been playing hockey for OMT since I was 16, even when i went to Uni I would come back and play on weekends. Despite travelling all the way back, it was worth it. The whole team and the captain made me feel extremely welcome and as if I was wanted. Playing for the men’s 2nd XI has been a blast, such a good group of guys with no egos. Not a bad way to spend your Saturdays, playing the sport you love with a really genuine bunch of people who want to play hard and win.”

Ash Paul

2nd XI Player

“The reason I joined OMT is to play fun competitive hockey with old mates and to make new ones, from all age groups as well as current juniors forming a great club!”
